A Poetry of Thought

Thought caught, thinking thoughtlessly,
Crowd of thought's, mauled it mercilessly,
A little thought, thoughtfully rescued it
Was thought's thinking, the real culprit?

Thought healed itself over time,
Yet kept thinking all the while,
Winding wounded through pleasure and pain,
Indeed, what was there in it to gain?

Realizing what made it think thoughtlessly,
Was that creeper of greed, growing recklessly,
Silently stealthing astray like a thief,
Stealing its character into vice and grief.

Finally having found the cause,
It laid back to rest and pause,
Sparing itself a moment of thought,
Filled with peace and tranquil a lot!
